Our first wedding of 2026 took us to south Alabama to beautiful Glory Farms in Foley. I first met the bride, Ashlyn, when I photographed her sister’s wedding in 2020. Since then I’ve had the pleasure of working with their family several times, and I even got to capture Ron’s proposal to Ashlyn in her grandparents’ magical backyard garden back in June. Ashlyn + Ron’s wedding was elegant but unpretentious– full of thoughtful details, lots of laughs and some happy tears. I love that Ashlyn included pearls, lace and all things girly. So settle in with a cup of tea and a warm blanket and enjoy this Bridgerton-inspired wedding day.

You’ll see that Ashlyn’s shoes feature heavily in the detail shots– I was just obsessed with them! The pearl bows were so cute and classy, I had to incorporate them.

Ashlyn + Ron opted not to do a first look but instead did a “first touch” and gift exchange. Ashlyn presented Ron with a notebook she started for her future husband– one that she had been keeping before they ever met, but continued to add sweet mementos of their relationship to as well.

The guys were up first for their portraits, and they had to make sure our groom was looking just right!

Ashlyn’s mom and sister helped her get ready for her big day– aren’t they the most beautiful trio?!

“Hey, there’s a rope swing over there we can use for bridal portraits” SAY. LESS. Doesn’t Ashlyn just look like a fairytale princess in that gorgeous golden sunlight?

I love that Ashlyn chose a different color for each bridesmaid and allowed them to pick what suited them best! And everything was tied together perfectly with their colorful bouquets.

The stunning ceremony site was shaded by centuries old oak trees– you couldn’t ask for a more quintessentially Southern scene.

How cute are these wedding programs? Instead of a traditional program, Ashlyn + Ron created a custom “newspaper” for their guests.

There wasn’t a dry eye around as Ashlyn + Ron shared their vows with each other, surrounded by family and friends and a canopy of oak branches.

We got the whole wedding party together for portraits after the ceremony. The girls’ dresses are so perfect together and the guys’ peach colored boutonnieres brought a pop of color to their suits as well.

The wind was a paid actor this day. Truthfully, we did help it out a bit, but there was a nice breeze all day helping us make magic with Ashlyn’s veil.

The ceremony concluded just in time for us to capture some sunset portraits, and I just love the warm, golden light in these images.

Ashlyn + Ron requested some portraits under the oaks and I think they turned out so stunning!

Ashlyn walked the aisle to an orchestral version of “I See The Light” from Tangled, and had Tangled theme cake toppers for both the wedding cake and grooms’ cake. I just love the little Pascal figurine!

We love a dancing queen! After dinner and cake, the wedding party broke it down on the dance floor.

Ashlyn’s sister and Ron’s brother– the matron of honor and best man– both gave heartfelt toasts to the bride and groom before the night ended.
Ashlyn + Ron, thank you so much for choosing me as your wedding photographer and allowing me to be there for such big moments in your life together. It’s always an honor to be chosen to work with a client over and over again who trusts you and believes in your vision. Congratulations to the new Mr. + Mrs. Goennier on your fairytale– it’s just beginning!
