I was so excited when Taylor first booked with me for her wedding at Stonehaven. This venue has a special place in my heart, as it used to belong to my friends Aubrey + Will, who were also the first to get married there. Since then, there have been SO many improvements and changes, and it’s all absolutely stunning. From the Italian-inspired Grand Hall to the light-filled Atrium conservatory, there was no shortage of beautiful spaces to bring Taylor and Ethan’s day to life. Taylor placed so much trust in her vendor team, which allowed her to truly be present and soak in every moment. The entire day unfolded effortlessly, filled with genuine smiles, happy tears, and the kind of laughter you can feel through the photos. It was such an honor to be part of a day so full of love, joy, and meaning and I’m thrilled to share a little piece of it with you all here on the blog.

The Atrium provided the perfect place for detail photos while the wedding party finished getting ready. The light there is so magical, and provides the most incredible views of the bluff outside.

Taylor + Ethan opted to do a first look in front of the Grand Hall and had the best reaction to seeing each other! You could definitely feel the jitters melt away as they were able to embrace and talk for the first time on their big day.

Some of my favorite photos are the ones where Taylor + Ethan’s personalities really shine. Taylor’s big smile is definitely infectious!

Taylor + Ethan exchanged private vows in the Atrium after their first look, and it was a rollercoaster of emotions. From happy tears to big laughs, you could tell they both truly poured their hearts into their vows.

Taylor’s bridal look was giving timeless, old Hollywood perfection. From her side-swooped hair to her gathered satin dress, it was a look that never goes out of style.

What started as an easy location for family photos, quickly pivoted into a portrait location when I realized just how beautiful the light was. We snapped all these (and more) in about 10 minutes while waiting on some more family to arrive.

Look at this gorgeous wedding party! Taylor + Ethan’s friends were so supportive and made sure our bride and groom were able to enjoy their wedding day with no hiccups.

Taylor chose champagne-colored dresses and long stem bouquets for her bridesmaids– simple and elegant so the girls’ own natural beauty could shine.

You’ll almost always catch me at the front of the ceremony, looking for the groom’s reaction to the bride’s entrance. These are some of my favorite moments to capture, and why I love having a second shooter at all my weddings, to be sure we’re capturing both sides and not missing a moment.

Imagine saying “I do” to your best friend with THIS view surrounding you. Unreal.

After the ceremony, we snuck away for a few more portraits on the back steps of the courtyard– a spot Taylor had been eyeing all day. The sun finally dipped low enough for us to take advantage of this beautiful spot, and after some quick photos we were able to send everyone off to enjoy the reception.

It’s not a Stonehaven wedding without some sunset portraits! While guests took selfies, we stepped away to take advantage of that gorgeous, golden light.

After a few more fun photos in the Atrium, Taylor + Ethan’s guests sent them off with a flurry of streamers– so fun and a little less scary than sparklers! If I had to sum up Taylor + Ethan’s wedding day in one word, it would be blissful. No one was stressing out, everything stayed on schedule, everyone was happy to be there and excited to celebrate– we honestly could not have asked for a better environment to work in. Taylor + Ethan, thank you so much for allowing us to share in the joy of your wedding day. Clients like you remind me why I fell in love with photography nearly 20 years ago: making genuine connections with great people and capturing moments they’ll treasure for years to come. Congratulations, Mr. + Mrs. Williams!
