Emily + Andrew: June 8, 2025

Emily + Andrew were married on Sunday at Dry Creek Wedding Chapel in Leesburg. Miraculously, we had a day with NO rain and were able to celebrate this sweet couple on a sunny summer day, surrounded by all their friends and family. I hope you enjoy seeing some of my favorite moments from Mr. + Mrs. Shankles wedding day! I just love the little garden tucked away beside the bridal cottage, and it was the perfect place for detail shots of Emily’s dress. Emily kept her bridal accessories simple, with an all white bouquet wrapped in blue satin to match her bridesmaids’ dresses. Emily + Andrew opted to do a first look before their ceremony, allowing them more time to celebrate with their guests afterwards. How cute are those big smiles after seeing each other for the first time on their big day? The chapel at Dry Creek is a perfect place for portraits, and Emily + Andrew braved the Alabama heat for these sweet photos in front of the place where just a few hours later, they would become husband and wife. Isn’t Emily + Andrew’s daughter Evelyn THE cutest thing you’ve ever seen? Just look at those curls! We had to do a few special family photos with just the three of them. This wedding party was so fun and kept the energy up all day! I also love the all blue color palette, with the guys in navy suits and girls in a lighter shade of blue satin. Anticipation built as guests filed into the chapel for the ceremony. So many people showed up to celebrate Emily + Andrew’s love! Evie got tired of tossing flower petals, so she dropped her basket and sprinted to Andrew– it was such a sweet moment! Getting the party started! This group loved to dance and were so fun to capture on the dance floor. Emily + Andrew, thank you so much for letting me play a small part in your beautiful wedding day.
