From middle school promises to a beautiful spring wedding, Sydney + Elijah’s love story came full circle on a perfect day at the Glass House in Skyline. Elijah told Sydney in the seventh grade that he would marry her someday—and on this unforgettable day he kept that promise, surrounded by their closest friends and family. Sydney chose colorful wildflowers and touches of green as her color palette– the perfect complement to an Alabama spring day. Filled with happy tears, laughter, and the kind of magic that only comes from a love that’s stood the test of time– this wedding will be etched in the memories of everyone who was lucky enough to be a part of it. Join me in reliving Sydney + Elijah’s wedding day with some of my favorite images!
I love when florists are kind enough to set aside some florals for us to use, and Rooted in Grace did just that! The details of the rings and the invitation suite– surrounded by cheerful daisies and bright ranunculus– set a romantic tone for Sydney and Elijah’s wedding.
Putting the final touches on the bride! Sydney looked radiant in her elegant gown, and enjoyed a private moment with her mom before seeing Elijah for the first time that day.
Elijah’s reaction to seeing Sydney for the first time was so sweet! They followed up their first look with an emotional private reading of their handwritten vows.
I’ll let you in on a little secret: we were ALL crying by this point. Sydney + Elijah truly poured their hearts into their vows.
Sydney + Elijah are so easy to photograph. When two people share a connection like this, photographing them is a dream!
I was obsessed with Sydney’s unique dress– inspired by vintage designs, her ivory brocade gown was the definition of classic elegance. Oh and it was also really fun to twirl in.
Sydney’s florist did an incredible job making the perfect spring bouquet. The soft pop of color was just what the day called for!
Another moment for this dress! It had such a beautiful shape and was so easy to create beautiful images with.
This wedding party came ready to celebrate Sydney and Elijah! The soft sage green of the bridesmaids’ dresses complemented the groomsmen’s tan suits perfectly.
The prettiest trio of flower girls! Sydney’s nieces loved having the spotlight in their matching dresses.
In a quiet moment before the ceremony, Sydney + Elijah chose to go ahead and sign their marriage certificate and make it official! Their planner, Kate, from True Knot Collective, is a notary who was able to take care of it for them on the spot.
The Glass House made a stunning backdrop for Sydney + Elijah’s intimate outdoor ceremony. Friends and family gathered as they exchanged vows shortly before sunset.
After the ceremony, we snuck away to the bluff– one of my favorite spots on the Glass House property. This view just epitomizes how beautiful our Alabama landscape can be.
Sydney opted to wait until the ceremony to add her cathedral length veil, so we made sure to use it to its full potential in our post-ceremony portraits.
OBSESSED with this cake! I’ve never seen florals used like this before and I think it’s my new favorite thing? The Cake Lady (Angela Pinkerton) knocked it out of the park with this one.
Sydney + Elijah wrote handwritten notes for every single guest, which served as place cards for their seating at the reception. What a thoughtful and special gesture!
Pure. Joy. The way these two look at each other just radiates love and happiness.
After their send off, Sydney + Elijah came back inside for two more special events. The first being a private speech from Elijah’s sister, which again left us all in tears. She did an amazing job!
The couple shared a private last dance before leaving the venue. They chose Fifth of May by Zach Bryan, the perfect song to end their perfect day. Sydney + Elijah’s wedding was a testament to the joy of new beginnings– filled with heartfelt moments, stunning details, and the start of a bright future together. We wish the new Mr. + Mrs. Provins a lifetime of happiness!
