Addison and Austin tied the knot this past Saturday at beautiful Oak Meadow Event Center in Ohatchee, and while the forecast brought a bit of drama with passing storms, these two took it all in stride. We were blessed with sunshine early in the day, which luckily allowed us to get all of our outdoor portraits finished before the rain set in. Surrounded by a romantic, spring color palette brought together by Pleasant Peace Creative‘s florals and Wedding Planning and Directing LLC, Addison and Austin embraced every moment of a chaotic day with joy and grace. And the celebration didn’t stop after the vows– once DJ Breezy opened up the dance floor, the energy was electric and the after party was unforgettable! Stick around and check out some of my favorite moments from Mr. + Mrs. Cherry’s wedding day.
I love how colorful spring and summer weddings can be. Embracing wild, natural florals and a rainbow of colors just brings me so much happiness! Salome with Pleasant Peace did an incredible job bringing Addison’s vision to life on her wedding day.
Addison presented her mom and dad with the most thoughtful gifts at the beginning of the day. How amazing is this commissioned portrait of Addison and her mom in their wedding dresses?
If you couldn’t tell, these groomsmen had the BEST day. They kept the party going from the time they they arrived till the end of the night.
We fit a LOT of portraits into a short amount of time as we tried to beat out the weather, but you would never know that we were rushing because just LOOK at how perfect these two are!
A moment for *the car* Absolutely obsessed with this vintage vehicle that Addison + Austin hired for their wedding day.
Addison’s bouquet was absolutely perfect for her day! The soft colors complimented the all-white accents but the cascading, natural shape really made it the star of the show.
And of course we had to take a few photos inside the beautiful ceremony space! The florals and candles surrounding the fireplace were gorgeous and just the perfect amount of color for the space.
LOVE this bubblegum pink that Addison chose for her bridesmaids’ dresses. It just screams spring, and all things girly and cute.
Name a sharper dressed group of guys–I’ll wait. These men showed up and showed out with their suit game– especially Austin in his tailored, double breasted jacket.
Right before the ceremony, a crazy storm came in and drenched everything and everyone outside. The ceremony was pushed back a bit to give everyone time to make it into the venue, but that didn’t damper anyone’s spirit or their desire to celebrate this incredible couple.
Addison + Austin chose to sign their marriage certificate during the ceremony, which was something I hadn’t seen before but I thought it was a great idea to make things officially official with all your friends and family there to watch.
Because of the rain, the ceremony space had to be flipped for the reception. While guests enjoyed cocktail hour on the covered patio, the staff did an incredible job transforming the room into a beautiful, candlelit reception hall.
Absolutely LOVE this idea– Addison + Austin had a live painter there to paint small portraits of their guests! How cool is that?
After dinner and cake, it was time to PARTY! And let me tell you, Addison + Austin know how to throw a party.
While guests lined up outside for their sparkler exit, Addison + Austin enjoyed a private last dance with just the two of them. It was such a sweet, intimate way to end a busy day. Addison + Austin, thank you for letting us be a part of your beautiful wedding day. You two were a joy to photograph, and your love (and positivity through the weather!) was a blessing to witness. Wishing you all the sunshine and happiness as you start your new life together!
