Mattie + Colton: April 26, 2025

Mattie + Colton tied the knot this past weekend at Prayer Rock in Boaz and I can’t get over what a stunning view they had as they said their vows! This was not a venue I was familiar with, but as soon as we arrived I knew it was going to be a beautiful backdrop for a wedding. We were able to explore the grounds and find several cute places for photos, which I’m so excited to share with you here. Stick around to see the highlights from Mattie + Colton’s big day!I’m always checking for engravings on the inside of rings while doing my detail shots. I just think they’re so sweet– like a little secret message you can keep with you always. Mattie + Colton chose to read their vows before their first look, instead of after. It was a cute twist on the usual way we do things, and I think it really built up the anticipation for that first look!Love the look on Colton’s face when he saw his bride for the first time! These two were so excited to get the day started and fast track to the good part– getting MARRIED!How incredible is this view? We took advantage of the bluff view at Prayer Rock for most of Mattie + Colton’s beautiful couples portraits. Mattie’s wildflower bouquet was so colorful and perfectly fitting for her day. The best part? She made it herself!This venue also has the cutest little white chapel, where we took our wedding party for their portraits. A picturesque backdrop nestled in the woods always has a special place in my heart! Mattie chose Cinderella blue for her bridesmaids’ dresses and simple baby’s breath bouquets. You really can’t go wrong with that classic combo. 10/10 for this flower girl/ring bearer duo. Mattie’s niece and nephew were the star of the show until the bride made her grand entrance. I told Mattie + Colton after the ceremony that it looked like they got married in HEAVEN! Having a backdrop of only clouds as you say “I do” is the stuff dreams are made of. Mattie + Colton, it was an honor to witness and capture every laugh, tear, and joyful moment shared between you, your families, and friends on your wedding day.
