Lacey + Stephen tied the knot in a beautiful, intimate ceremony atop Lookout Mountain last Saturday. As soon as we walked through the front door of the French Quarter Inn in Mentone, we felt right at home. Everyone was so welcoming and laid back, I felt like I was part of a big backyard gathering with old friends, which is partially true. When I say Lacey and I go way back, I mean WAY back– to VBS when we were just kiddos. I was honored when Lacey asked me to be her wedding photographer, and I loved how easy going she and Stephen were on their wedding day. This wedding was so unique and gorgeous– I’m excited to share it with you all!
Lacey wanted a wildflower vibe with her florals, and I think they absolutely fit the bill. I love the natural shape and variety of colors in her bouquet.
Before her first look with Stephen, Lacey wanted to have private moments with her sister Paige and her dad. After losing her mom unexpectedly last year, Lacey honored her memory with a photo on her bouquet, while her dad and Paige both wore tie clips with her photo.
Paige surprised Lacey with a beautiful portrait of her and their mom, which she custom designed with their friend Lauren, complete with their mom’s handwriting. Lacey also carried her mom with her as her “something blue,” stitched inside her dress.
We were blessed with the most perfect light for Lacey + Stephen’s portraits. They did not have a wedding party, so we had extra time to make some magic with just the two of them.
Lacey made the most stunning bride! Her appliquéd lace dress fit her like a glove, and even had removable sleeves which she added for the ceremony to change up her look.
How breathtaking is this ceremony view?!
A bubble gun ceremony exit? Yes, please!
We took advantage of the golden sunset light and Lacey’s wardrobe change to snag a few more portraits before Lacey + Stephen entered their reception.
Lacey + Stephen are such a fun couple and we had the best time capturing their wedding day. Everyone was so helpful and friendly, and it truly was a team effort to pull off such a perfect day. Thank you Lacey + Stephen for trusting us as your wedding photographers. Congratulations, Mr. + Mrs. Long!
