Hannah + Tanner: May 27, 2023

Hannah + Tanner were married last Saturday at their home church, which was filled with friends and family excited to celebrate with them. I often shoot at wedding venues, and it’s more rare to have church weddings these days. However, I got to return to Pine Ridge Baptist Church for Hannah + Tanner’s big day, almost three years after I photographed Jayden + Justin’s wedding there. In addition to their church ceremony, Hannah + Tanner invited everyone to Fort Payne’s Coal + Iron Building for a fun reception, which included some of the best speeches I’ve heard at any wedding. Keep scrolling to see all the details from Mr. + Mrs. Pridmore’s wedding day!

The lace on Hannah’s dress was so beautiful that I loved being able to incorporate it into other detail shots, like these ring photos.

Hannah asked to do her first look with Tanner in front of the church, and I think it was the perfect sentimental location. Every time they walk through those doors, they’ll be reminded of their first embrace on their wedding day.

I believe Hannah’s dress sets the record for the biggest dress I’ve ever photographed in 13 years of wedding photography! She went full fairytale princess, and I’m absolutely here for it.

A dress like that is just begging to be twirled, right?!

I wanted to be sure to get a shot of the back of Hannah’s dress, so you could really see the size and the beautiful details.

It’s always fun to see familiar faces in my wedding parties, and Hannah + Tanner’s included some former KC Photo brides + grooms, as well as several I’ve photographed in wedding parties before.

Hannah chose blush bridesmaids dresses paired with white and red bouquets– the perfect soft, romantic color combo.

These guys were having way too much fun on this wedding day, but I think they nailed the serious shots too.

Seeing a groom watch his bride walk down the aisle just never gets old. One of the best parts of my job.

If you know Hannah + Tanner, you know it just wouldn’t be their wedding without some big laughs. As always, Brother Carl balanced the seriousness of the occasion with just the right amount of levity.

Hannah got her very own Breakfast Club moment at the end of their ceremony. Her bridesmaids’ reactions are one of my favorite parts of these photos!

Hannah + Tanner opted for a chapel exit instead of a reception exit and honestly I love this for church weddings. It makes such a pretty backdrop, and I especially love bubbles for a day time exit.

Everyone who made a speech at Hannah + Tanner’s reception had kind words to say about the couple, and at least one hilarious story to share. From tales of Tanner and his brother pulling each others’ teeth as kids, to a groomsman calling the bride a “demon” (in jest) everybody was laughing.

We loved being able to celebrate with Hannah + Tanner on their wedding day and are so thankful they chose us to capture their big day. This fun couple made my job so easy and their love truly radiates through their images. Congratulations, Mr. + Mrs. Pridmore!
