Jayden + Justin: September 12, 2020

We celebrated the start of our fall wedding season with Jayden and Justin’s beautiful church wedding in Pine Ridge! It definitely doesn’t feel like fall just yet, and I think everyone was thankful to be inside the air conditioning for this one! Even so, our bride and groom and wedding party braved the heat for some outdoor portraits and I love how they turned out! Jayden and her family did such an amazing job bringing her vision for the wedding to life– collecting globes, old suitcases and other travel memorabilia to decorate the ceremony and reception. Jayden and Justin were the most laid back couple, but all the little details were there to make their day perfect. Jayden’s mom was actually my fifth grade teacher (just a few years ago– both of us are still super young 😉 ) and it’s always crazy to me when things come full circle like that. From sitting in a 5th grade classroom working on my english lesson to photographing the biggest day so far in her daughter’s life, we’ve come a long way! One of my favorite moments of the day was Jayden’s first look with her younger twin sisters– you can just see how much they love their big sister, and how overcome with emotion they were seeing her in her wedding dress on her big day. A close second would probably be their minister’s recitation of a poem he wrote for the couple titled “I Met My Husband at the DMV” which had the crowd in stitches with his retelling of how the two met. We are so excited to be back to photographing weddings this fall, and Justin and Jayden’s was the best way I can think of to get back in the swing of things!
