Since turning my focus to senior photography, I’ve been lucky enough to shoot seniors from schools I haven’t worked with previously. Kendall was my first Sand Rock senior and I certainly hope she won’t be my last! Kendall loves playing with hair and makeup, and asked if she could do her own for our session. I was pleasantly surprised when we met up that day to see that she did an awesome job with both! I especially loved her pink lipstick, which really made her whole look pop. We started out in downtown Fort Payne, but finished out our session in a pretty special way!
I hadn’t shot at Little River Canyon in quite a few years, and had recently been wanting to get some water images with my seniors, so I asked Kendall if she would be interested in shooting there. Luckily, she was on board with the idea and we set out for the canyon! The drive is easy– the hike to the canyon? Not so much! I’m sure anyone who saw us thought we were crazy. Kendall’s mom lead us through the woods, with me lugging my camera and ShootSac, barefoot because I was sliding around on my sandals, and Kendall all dolled up in her gorgeous dress and flower headband. We were able to find a pretty little spot near the bottom of the canyon with a rock ledge and pool of water. After getting in some poses there, we trekked back up to the top to get some photos above the falls. Kendall was a great sport with the chilly water, and I love the shots we were able to get! She was such a beauty, and made getting beautiful shots easy!
