Marisa + Braxton are MARRIED! And we had the honor of capturing their beautiful wedding day at Harmony Hills Ranch in Albertville earlier this month. Marisa and her family have been long time clients of mine, and it’s always so special when I’m asked to capture an occasion like this for a past client. You might also recognize this precious family from Marisa’s sister Keirstan’s wedding back in 2023! Unlike her sister, Marisa opted for a summer wedding, and it could not have been more perfect. Stick around to see some of my favorite moments from Mr. + Mrs. Henson’s wedding day.

Marisa wore her mom’s garter, which her sister also wore on her wedding day. How sweet are these heart charms commemorating each date?

The sweetest first look with her girls! So many big smiles and happy tears all around.

I’m obsessed with the tiny basket trend and love how Marisa incorporated it into her bridesmaids’ looks. It was the perfect accent for a summer wedding.

Marisa’s dress was simple and elegant, and the addition of her cathedral length veil added just the right amount of drama.

The guys opted for classic navy suits with matching ties and white boutonnieres. Don’t they look so sharp?!

Marisa + Braxton did not do a first look, and instead chose to read each other their vows privately before the ceremony. This was such a touching moment and set the perfect tone right before the big event.

Marisa + Braxton’s families were invited to join them in prayer during the ceremony. This is always one of my favorite moments of any ceremony– seeing those they love most literally surround them in prayer as they make their sacred vows.

THEY DID IT! Introducing the new Mr. + Mrs. Henson!

We snuck in some bride + groom portraits after the ceremony while guests began enjoying the reception. Love this angle of the venue, where the large windows make a gorgeous backdrop!

A moment for the veil, everyone.

This truck holds a special place in Marisa + Braxton’s story– sitting on that tailgate was one of their first dates. I love when couples include thoughtful details like this on their wedding day! And what better way to celebrate than by sneaking some cake before the rest of your guests?

Marisa’s dad made their beautiful cake! And after tasting it, I can honestly say he could make that a full time gig.

Dance party followed by bubble exit? The perfect way to end the night! Thank you, Marisa + Braxton for choosing me as your wedding photographer! I loved being there for all the beautiful moments throughout your big day. Congratulations, Mr. + Mrs. Henson!
