We were honored to help celebrate Amber + Bo in our last fall wedding of the year this past weekend at Rustic Pines Farms in Boaz. Just like the sweet couple, their day was laid back and easy going– you could tell everyone was just excited to be there. Both Amber and Bo come from large families, and it was such a joy to see everyone come out to share in their special day. I love that Amber didn’t go with traditional fall hues for her color palette, but instead chose a deep red to compliment the autumn foliage. This is the kind of blog post where you’ll want to snuggle up with a blanket by the fire and scroll through while you take in all the beautiful details. Stay tuned…
I love that Amber opted for boots instead of traditional bridal heels– especially since her dress had a peekaboo slit so you could catch a glimpse of them throughout the day.
The cutest first look! Amber + Bo were so excited to see each other and get the ball rolling towards their ceremony. I love these little moments with just the bride and groom– no posing, no distractions, just joy.
One of the best things about Amber’s dress was that it’s comfy! The material was so soft and stretchy, she was able to move freely and not feel restricted. We love the drama of an intricate gown, but it was refreshing to have a bridal outfit we could really play around with.
The leaves have really shown out in Alabama this year, and I’ve been making the most of them at these fall weddings! I can’t picture a more perfect backdrop for a November wedding.
When scouting locations for portraits, I came upon this drive tucked back in the woods. The light was so dreamy, it looked like a fairytale! I knew we would have to use this magical spot.
Remember what I said about Amber’s dress? It was so fun to get these twirling shots! Amber looks like a literal princess.
Another beautiful detail was the floral arrangements. Amber’s bouquet, as well as her bridesmaids, were made mainly of dried flowers, which kept them light but also made a big impact with the pampas grass.
A picture perfect wedding party!
Before the ceremony began, Amber’s grandfather prayed over her and Bo, alongside their parents. It was such a special, symbolic moment of two families becoming one.
After their private meal, Amber bustled her dress, threw on her hat and was ready to party! But first– we had to grab a few sunset portraits. 😉
Cheesecake instead of grooms cake is always gonna be a YES from me.
I think their smiles say it all! Amber + Bo were such a joy to work with, and we loved being able to share in all their happiness on their wedding day. Amber + Bo, thank you for allowing us to capture your perfect day. Congratulations to the new Mr. + Mrs. Heard!
