Amberly + Russell: February 27, 2022

We started off 2022 right with Amberly and Russell’s beautiful wedding day at Guntersville State Park Lodge! It was a chilly February day, but we made the most of it and even got some fun shots with the fog over the water from the bluff. These two tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in one of the lodge’s ballrooms, and while everything looked great, I really think their Frenchie/Boston terrier, Freud, stole the show in his custom-made tuxedo! The room was so elegantly decorated, and it was nice for guests to be able to stay in one place after the ceremony and immediately dive into some great food (hello, chocolate covered strawberries and a mountain of shrimp cocktail) afterwards. We’ve got more weddings than ever lined up for this year, and this was the perfect way to kick it off. Check out Amberly and Russell’s big day below.

“Something blue” can be the hardest tradition to figure out on your wedding day, so I loved how Amberly used a blue patch sewed to the inside of her dress for her little something.

How cute is this first look?! Amberly and Russell were so excited to see each other after spending the morning apart. They decided to read their vows to each other in private shortly after their first look, which I think is a great option for couples who might be nervous about reading personalized vows in front of a crowd.

Russell was the ultimate hype man, and Amberly could barely keep a straight face for photos as he was constantly gushing about how amazing she looked– and I can’t disagree!

One can’t shoot at the lodge without photographing the iconic bluff that overlooks Lake Guntersville. I love how the fog over the water adds a dramatic element to this already amazing location.

Okay, I could dedicate a whole blog post to Freud. He was adorable in his doggie tuxedo and he was a such a good boy the whole day. He even smiled for family photos!

I got super excited when I heard that Amberly planned to use bubbles for their exit– I love how colorful and fun they make the images! It was the perfect send off to a wonderful wedding day, and we wish Mr. + Mrs. Moses all the best!
