I’d like to introduce everyone to Aubrey– my first Collinsville senior for 2017! Even though I’m a bit older, I could totally relate to Aubrey. I am not one of those people who hates small town life and dreams of moving away to a big city and leaving it all behind. I’m sure that’s one reason I was so excited when Aubrey told me she wanted to do her entire session in Collinsville, her hometown. I thought it was such a special way to commemorate her senior year and incorporate this place that has played such a huge part in her life! We started at the football stadium for some shots in her cheer uniform and I LOVE the way that red pops against the green grass of the field. It’s always fun for me when my seniors include their activities and sports into their session!
Next we went downtown to get some urban shots, including some in front of the newly renovated Cricket Theatre, just one day after their new marquee was lit for the first time. And, as is becoming tradition with my Class of 2017 seniors, we had to end our session in the water! Aubrey had the most beautiful white dress and flower crown and we hopped in the creek for some fun, fairy tales images. We had a couple scares with squishy moss and tiny fish, but it was so worth it in the end. I had a great time working with Aubrey, her mom and sister and I hope you all love her images as much as I do!
