Lily + Garrett were my first KC Photo couple to be married at the Glass House venue in Skyline, where I have been dying to shoot for several years now. This venue absolutely blew me away, and provided the perfect backdrop for Lily + Garrett’s beautiful wedding day. Lily chose classic elegance as her theme and her team of vendors knocked it out of the park. Though we battled a little bit of inclement weather, the sun peeked out at the perfect moment, giving their ceremony a beautiful sunset glow. I am so excited to share some of my favorite moments from this sweet celebration!
Now this was a wedding party that knew how to have FUN! This group kept us entertained all day, and was the perfect hype team for Lily + Garrett.
Lily’s mom and two sisters helped get her ready before her first look with Garrett. These little moments before the day fully starts are some of my favorite ones to capture.
Lily’s dress was not only stunning, but it was one of the few I’ve photographed that was genuinely comfy! There was no shortage of spins and twirls this day.
Garrett got his tears out shortly before the first look, so there was nothing but excitement when he finally saw his bride for the first time that day!
The fall leaves were really showing out for this October wedding!
Lily’s cathedral length veil was covered in tiny pearls and perfectly complimented the rest of her look.
Of course we had to take some portraits inside the beautiful venue as well! It’s not often you find a place with inside spaces as light-filled and stunning as those outside.
Lily’s first look with her bridesmaids– how adorable are they?! Their reactions were so cute and Lily loved finally being able to show her girls her dream dress.
The gang’s all here! This wedding party definitely put the emphasis on “party” and had the best time celebrating Lily + Garrett.
The front steps of the Glass House provided a picture-perfect backdrop for Lily + Garrett’s wedding ceremony, as they were married by Garrett’s father, and surrounded by friends and family.
The new Mr. + Mrs. Skelton!
After the ceremony, we snuck away to the bluff for some sunset portraits. This breathtaking view is just on the other side of the venue’s property and it is so unbelievably gorgeous. These romantic portraits turned out to be some of my favorites of the whole day!
Instead of bouquet or garter tosses, Lily + Garrett tossed custom t-shirts, and this is now the only type of toss I want to see at weddings from this point forward. SO fun, SO cute and literally the best keepsake.
Lily + Garrett, thank you so much for allowing us to be a part of your wedding day! I have loved working with you guys, and seeing your perfect day come to life was the cherry on top for me. I am so excited for what the future holds for the two of you. Congratulations, Mr. + Mrs. Skelton!
