Sarah Ashley + TJ’s wedding might’ve just been the event of the year in the little town of Sardis, Alabama. These two high school sweethearts celebrated their marriage with the perfect day in their hometown– from portraits at Sarah Ashley’s childhood home, to the ceremony at their church and after hours reception at TJ’s grandparents’ home, each moment evoked old memories as new ones were created. I know Sarah Ashley has been planning this day for so long, and all her hard work paid off as every little detail came to life perfectly! I hope you’ll stick around to see some of my favorite images from a truly magical celebration.
It’s all in the details, and Sarah Ashley’s were so timeless and elegant. One of my favorites was the bow accents she incorporated, including on her “something blue” shoes, and her stunning wedding dress.
Sarah Ashley and her girls got ready for the day at Sarah Ashley’s parents’ home, while the guys waited at TJ’s. I think it helps ease the nervous energy so much when couples are able to spend part of their wedding day in a familiar, comfortable environment like home.
How precious are these two?! I love a first look filled with genuine excitement, and Sarah Ashley + TJ were so happy to see each other and move one step closer to being Mr. + Mrs. Harbian!
It’s always easy having Sarah Ashley + TJ in front of the camera– they are naturals and make posing look so effortless!
Can we have a moment for THE DRESS?! Grace Kelly, eat your heart out.
This dress/veil combo was just begging to be twirled. Sarah Ashley looks like a literal Disney princess!
Black + white is a classic color palette for wedding parties, but Sarah Ashley’s spin of navy + white was absolutely perfect for a late summer wedding.
This whole wedding party was such a vibe! Everyone there was clearly excited to celebrate with the bride and groom on their big day.
We just had to take another moment to show off the back of Sarah Ashley’s fabulous gown!
Sarah Ashley’s dad is the principal at Sardis Middle, and the school added this sweet sign for them! Naturally, we had to stop for a couple commemorative photos.
Sarah Ashley + TJ’s ceremony began with a prayer with their parents and TJ’s best man, his grandfather.
The new Mr. + Mrs. Harbian!
We grabbed some quick portraits outside the church as guests began seating for dinner. Sometimes 5 minutes is all you need to make some magic!
After dinner, Sarah Ashley + TJ invited guests to TJ’s grandparents’ for a night of dancing and MORE cake. Who could resist?
If you couldn’t tell, Sarah Ashley’s dad is definitely the life of the party!
How amazing is this Toomer’s cake? Perfect for these Auburn grads and all their friends!
Sarah Ashley + TJ danced the night away with friends and family, and capped off their wedding day in much the same way it began– full of joy. We were honored to be there to capture it all, and wish nothing but the best for the new Mr. + Mrs. Harbian. CONGRATS!!
