Ashley + Justin: December 12, 2020

Not only was this past weekend a crazy, double wedding weekend for us at KC Photography, but I also got to be there as some of my best clients celebrated their wedding. I have photographed Ashley and Justin (and sweet Charlie) for almost a decade now, and it has been so amazing to watch their journey. Anyone who knows Ashley can tell you that she has fought hard for the life she’s built and no one handed her anything along the way. I’ve been there through so many seasons of Ashley and Justin’s life together and I am absolutely honored that they chose me as their wedding photographer as well. Their son Charlie is one of my favorite people to see at every one of my mini sessions. He even brought me a Christmas present this year– a bag full of Disney themed goodies, which of course was perfect for me! Ashley and Justin were legally married back in May, but due to Covid they weren’t able to have the celebration they planned. They opted to wait for a beautiful Christmas wedding with their closest family and friends at Broadway Baptist Church on Saturday. Their village stepped up and did everything themselves, and it was so sweet to see Ashley’s face as she walked into the reception area and saw all the work they had done. I also loved how Ashley incorporated her dad and sister into her day, with charms on her bouquet as well as framed photos of them in the church. Ashley and Justin are so deserving of their happy ending, and I’m forever grateful that I was there to witness it.
