I think it goes without saying that this year as been an unprecedented one, especially when it comes to weddings. Couples have been forced to reschedule, reconfigure and in some cases even cancel their weddings. But as a photographer, it has been so amazing to see how differently my couples have handled the situation. For Jessica and Zach, they decided on an intimate church wedding with family only. And while I shoot lots of big, extravagant weddings, there’s just something special about keeping things simple and focusing on the most important part of the day: the marriage. Jessica was so nervous when we first arrived at the church, but after her first look with Zach her demeanor completely changed. You can tell that these two just love being around each other– I absolutely love the images where Zach was making Jessica laugh! The two were married in Jessica’s home church, by her father, and I don’t think there was a dry eye in the house as he spoke to the couple about love and commitment. Jessica wore a beautiful lace and tulle gown with a special addition– her grandfather’s button was added to the back, so he was able to be right there with her all day. I am so glad I got to be there for Jessica and Zach as they became Mr. and Mrs. Aldridge, a day I know both of them had prayed for for so long. Congrats to the happy couple!
