We celebrated Heather + Josh’s wedding day at beautiful Infinity Event Venue in Section. It’s no secret that this is one of my favorite wedding venues, so I was so excited when Heather initially reached out about photographing their wedding there. From the moment I met Heather + Josh, I knew we were going to have so much fun together. When clients become friends, my job is a thousand times easier, and this was exactly the case when it comes to this amazing couple. Their wedding day was beautiful, low key and full of laughter and happy tears. Keep scrolling to see some of my favorite moments from their perfect day!
Heather carried a sweet tribute to her dad down the aisle with her, including his photo and a special message. He was also honored with his own reserved seat for the ceremony.
Can we all just take a moment to appreciate Josh’s look? I’m all about a classic black tux, but I totally loved Josh’s maroon jacket and the touch of color it added.
Josh’s mom helped Heather into her dress, while his daughter Rosie looked on. It was such a sweet moment between the three of them.
Infinity’s stone room is THE place for bridal portraits! How stunning is Heather? I love the touches of vintage glamour she added with with her hair and jewelry.
I love when I have time to photograph the bride and groom separately before their first look– each getting their time to shine on their big day as the anticipation builds towards seeing each other for the first time.
How cute are these two?! The excitement was palpable as they saw each other and really kicked off the festivities shortly before their ceremony.
Infinity is known for their bluff views, but I also love taking portraits around the house. It’s not every day you have access to a gorgeous stone mansion, so why not put it to good use?!
Prior to their ceremony, Josh + Heather chose to read their vows in private. The stone room was the perfect setting, and I am so glad they allowed us to be there for it. This was one of the most beautiful moments I’ve ever had the privilege to photograph.
Heather was escorted by Josh’s son Eli, as Rosie and little brother Tyler waited with dad at the end of the aisle.
In lieu of a unity ceremony, Heather and Josh chose to take communion.
OFFICIALLY family! I am so happy for Shoemake, party of 5!
Heather + Josh chose to do a private cake cutting with their own super cute cake. I am all about couples taking these special events on their wedding day and turning them into private moments for just the two of them.
Just look at the JOY! These two love being in each others’ presence and the pure happiness they feel radiates to everyone around them. You can’t be around them and not smile!
In a brief interlude between the first dance and Josh + Rosie’s father daughter dance, guests were treated to a family rendition of Coolio’s Gangster’s Paradise. And it was honestly perfect.
Heather + Josh slipped out of their reception for a few minutes to grab some more portraits around the gorgeous property.
Josh requested a few photos of himself and Rosie, and I can never say no to a daddy daughter photo op!
After their exit, Heather + Josh came back for one last dance to cap off their perfect day, and I can’t think of a better way to end it. I have loved getting to know Heather + Josh over these past few months and photographing their engagement and wedding. I am so excited to see what the future holds for this precious couple, and all the blessings headed their way! Congratulations, Mr. + Mrs. Shoemake!
