Olivia + Carson: March 18, 2023

We kicked off our spring wedding season with Olivia + Carson’s perfect wedding day at Dry Creek Chapel in Leesburg. We couldn’t have asked for a better day– from beautiful weather to elegant details to so many emotional moments, we loved getting to capture it all for Olivia + Carson. Unfortunately I’ve been under the weather for a couple days so I’m late sharing, but I promise this blog will be well worth the wait!

Olivia might just take the award for best wedding shoes! I was obsessed with these glamorous heels and had so much fun finding ways to incorporate them into our detail shots.

One thing I’m always aware of when shooting getting ready photos is any reflections I might catch in nearby mirrors. I’m always shuffling folks out of the way, but how sweet do Olivia’s sisters look, admiring her in the back of this shot?

Olivia’s mom and big sisters were there to help her get ready for her special day and were such a great support team. I love how so much of Olivia + Carson’s day was centered around family.

In honor of Carson’s late grandfather, he and his groomsmen all wore a small photo of him on their boutonnieres. Olivia also sported a matching charm on her bouquet.

Nothing sets the tone for a wedding day quite like an emotional first look. It’s so special to me to be able to capture these moments when a bride and groom get to see and touch each other for the first time on their wedding day.

The chapel makes the perfect backdrop for any wedding at Dry Creek! We lucked out with amazing warm sunshine and not too much wind on a chilly March day.

Olivia’s bridal look was absolutely breathtaking! With her satin dress and matching gloves along with her cathedral length veil and ivory rose bouquet, she was a timeless vision from head to toe.

Made up of family and friends, this bridal party made sure that our bride and groom had a fun wedding day and kept the mood light. They were all so great to work with!

Olivia’s dad not only walked her down the aisle, but he also officiated their ceremony! It was so sweet to watch a father play such a big part in his daughter’s wedding.

Mr. + Mrs. Carver! Husband and wife, ready to celebrate with all their family and friends at a beautiful reception.

Olivia + Carson’s cake topper actually belonged to Olivia’s grandparents and was used in their wedding over 60 years ago! Olivia surprised her grandmother by using it on their wedding cake.

The surprises continued, as Olivia and her dad danced to a special recording of a song he made just for the occasion! They were also joined by her mom for the last portion of their dance.

Carson and his mom also had a special guest during their dance, as flower girl (and Carson’s niece) Collins wanted to be part of the moment.

Olivia + Carson, thank you so much for letting me be part of your big day! We loved celebrating you, and being surrounded by so much love and positivity all day. We are so excited to see where the future takes you, Mr. + Mrs. Carver!
