One of the best parts of my job is meeting people for the first time for a shoot, and then being chosen to capture all their big life moments from that point forward. I feel so honored that clients come to me again and again, and trust me with such special occasions. I photographed both Taylor + Trey’s senior portraits several years ago, and have watched their relationship grow over the years. I was so excited when Taylor reached out to me about photographing their wedding! The day started out rainy and FREEZING but Taylor + Trey, along with the rest of their wedding party powered through portraits and an outdoor ceremony and celebrated with a warm, indoor reception at Northeast Alabama Hunting Preserve. I love when my brides choose something unique to wear on their wedding day. Taylor said she almost went with a white jumpsuit, but instead opted for this amazing boho lace halter neck gown and pearl booties.
What’s the perfect compliment to a glamorous pair of boots? “That’s what she said” socks, of course!
You would never know that we were all absolutely freezing for these bride and groom portraits! Taylor + Trey never once complained, and trusted me to move quickly to get all the shots they wanted captured on their big day.
Starting a petition to have all brides incorporate a fur stole into their wedding day look. I can’t get over the timeless elegance it adds to these bridal portraits!
Taylor was thoughtful enough to get her bridesmaids coordinating shawls to help with the cold. Everyone looked amazing, and their outfits were perfect for the venue, a hunting preserve near Rainsville.
Taylor chose the perfect fall colors for her bouquets, and I love how the subtle greens from the eucalyptus and lamb’s ear were a perfect match for her bridesmaids’ dresses.
Who needs a sweet little flower girl when you can give one of your buddies a fanny pack full of flower petals and christen him “The Flower Bro?” Nathan’s entrance was definitely a hit with everyone in attendance!
The next time someone tells me they don’t want to do a first look because it will “ruin” the moment at the ceremony, I’m showing them these pictures. Taylor + Trey had waited so long for this day, and there wasn’t a dry eye in the audience when they got to see each other as Taylor walked down the aisle.
I even talked Taylor + Trey into a few more portraits after the ceremony with a view of the duck pond in the background. I love that Trey wore his hat and Taylor wore her fur, just to give them a little more variety in their images.
We got to hear some great speeches from Trey’s brother and Taylor’s best friend. Lots of laughter and sweet sentiments shared before the dance floor opened up and everybody let loose!
Taylor + Trey, thank you so much for letting us be there to capture your wedding day! Despite the weather, everything went great and it was the perfect way to celebrate the two of you (finally) becoming husband and wife. Congratulations, Mr. + Mrs. Ogle!
