I’m so excited to finally share Yari + Jacob’s gorgeous fall wedding from this past weekend at Steel Magnolia Farms! This wedding was colorful, fun and a little crazy– Yari + Jacob definitely know how to throw a party! I love how they mixed traditional elements with Yari’s Mexican culture, and it was so sweet to see these two families come together, with lots of them meeting for the first time ever. Yari even had family who drove all the way from Mexico to be there on her special day! Sit back and relax, because I’ve got lots of favorites to share from this amazing wedding!
I was obsessed with Yari’s colorful bouquet! A lot of my fall weddings go with a more muted boho vibe, but I felt like these florals really captured the bright fall colors we look forward to at this time of year.
Isn’t Yari the most gorgeous bride?! The old Hollywood hairstyle, the chandelier earrings, the simple veil– timeless beauty in the best way possible.
Jacob’s boutonniere was the just the right pop of color against his white tux jacket and it was a perfect compliment to Yari’s bouquet.
We love a first look! Our timeline got shifted around a bit on this day, but our top priority was giving these two a special moment to themselves to see each other for the first time. You could just feel the nerves melt away once Yari + Jacob were together.
It’s no secret I love a cathedral length veil! Yari’s was simple enough to not take away from her amazing dress, but it added just that extra bit of bridal elegance. She also swapped her veil for another during the reception– stay tuned for the sweet story behind that!
These bridal portraits are some of my favorites! Yari’s beautiful bouquet packs a punch of color, but your eyes still go immediately to the stunning bride.
This was only our second time shooting at Steel Magnolia, so we got to explore a couple new locations at the venue! We had fun with a few poses in front of the barn with just Yari + Jacob before we moved on to wedding party portraits.
I know I keep saying it but– THESE COLORS! All of Yari’s girls looked absolutely amazing and I love how each got to choose a dress to suit their personality. The guys looked sharp in black suits and coordinating boutonnieres.
Yari + Jacob’s three children came down the aisle right before their mom and it was so cute! Emmy especially had a great time tossing those flowers!
THEY DID IT!! The kiss is one of my favorite moments at any wedding. It makes everything feel “officially official.”
Guys, we’ve gotta talk about this food. Yari + Jacob had *authentic* Mexican food cooked right in front of the guests and it was all delicious. I stopped myself after 3 tacos but I really wanted to try one of the tortas because they looked absolutely amazing.
A fog machine, magical lighting and cold sparks– Yari + Jacob’s first dance was seriously magical!
I mentioned earlier how Yari swapped her veil out after the ceremony. For the reception, she wore Jacob’s mom’s wedding veil– how special is that?!
You know you’re in for a good time with the groom gets tossed into the air by the groomsmen just a few minutes into the reception!
Yari + Jacob, thank you so much for trusting us to capture your big day! We loved being there for all the sweet moments, and all the fun ones too. I am so thankful we got to be a part of the day you officially became husband and wife. Congrats, Mr. + Mrs. Waites!
