Kendall + Za: January 30, 2021

This past Saturday, we photographed our first wedding of 2021 and I can’t think of a more special way to start the year than with the wedding of one of my favorite people! If you’re familiar with KC Photography, you probably know Kendall is my amazing hair and makeup artist. She not only makes all my clients look glamorous, but she’s my go-to girl for every special event, including my own wedding! Kendall and I first met in 2014, when I photographed her senior portraits. And it’s so funny to look back now and see how far we’ve come– I literally couldn’t run this business without her! Kendall has great style, so I knew her wedding would be a dream to photograph. She’s so crafty and even did her own flowers– how amazing is that?! Even though Kendall and Za opted to not have a wedding party, they still invited their closest friends to come early and take some portraits with them. This is such a fun idea that I hope more of my couples adopt in the future! We had picture perfect weather for their wedding day at Dry Creek Chapel in Leesburg and we took full advantage of it with LOTS or portraits. Not only did I get to photograph Kendall and Za, but of course we couldn’t leave out sweet DJ! If you can’t tell from the photos, this kid is a bit of a ham 😉 I am so lucky to have gotten to know Kendall over the past 7 year years and watch her grow so much as a person. Za is the perfect man for her and DJ and I’m so glad they found each other!
