There’s nothing I love more than when my clients choose locations that are special to them for their session, and Taylor and Noie’s rustic engagement session was no exception. I had the privilege of photographing these beautiful people at Noie’s family farm, where they’ll be tying the knot this September! Their ceremony will be held by the pond, where we started our session with this beautiful vintage Chevy truck. The lighting was so pretty by the water and I can’t wait to see it on the big day! We also shot on the land where Taylor and Noie plan to build their future home– how amazing is that?! One of my favorite shots is of the two of them in this spot, where you can see the dirt road, the pastures and the mountains stretched out behind them– and the fact that I know that one day they will wake up to that very same view every day.
Being a photographer is not just about taking pictures. I am so honored to be a part of the biggest moments in people’s lives. From senior year, to wedding day, to new babies– I get to capture it all. And this session reminded me of how thankful I am to have such a strong connection with my clients. So many of them become long time friends, and I get to document each new stage of their lives as they come. It was so special to be able to photograph these two in a place that I know means a lot to both of them, especially Noie. So thank you Taylor and Noie (and ALL my KC Photo wedding couples!) not only for choosing me as your wedding photographer, but for letting me play a small part in this amazing time in your lives. I am so excited and honored to be your photographer!
