Happy new year, everybody!! To celebrate the start of 2016, I’ll be blogging lots of my class of 2016 seniors in the coming months! I have seriously slacked on keeping the blog updated, but I guess we’ll just call this a new year’s resolution to do way better 😉 Let’s kick off the year with beautiful Thanne, one of my FPHS seniors! Thanne was only my second 2016 senior and she went all out for her senior session, including on location hair and makeup! I love when my seniors choose this option, because it gives them more time to relax beforehand, and get a chance to feel like a supermodel for a little while 🙂 I met up with Thanne and our hair and makeup artist Tasha at Thanne’s house and from there we explored downtown Fort Payne. I shoot in town a lot, but it’s always nice to find new places and expand my options! It’s no secret that urban senior sessions are some of my favorites, and Thanne’s was no exception!
I think my favorite of her outfits was the striped tee and high waisted denim shorts. The look reminded me of one of my favorite movies, Dazed and Confused, which is set around a high school in the 70s. Thanne looked so cute in this outfit and the white keds were the perfect finishing touch! We had a brief scare with the weather and literally did her second hair and makeup look with her sitting in the car and Tasha standing out in the rain. Our patience paid off though and the clouds moved out and gave us some gorgeous evening light! Thanne’s final look was a sparkly black mini dress from the KC Senior Style Closet and she absolutely rocked it! I thought it fit perfectly with the side bun that Tasha did for our final look. And it’s pretty perfect for a New Year’s blog too– don’t you think? 😉
