Keneta >> 2015 Section Senior

It’s no secret that seniors are my favorite subjects, and I am loving all the stylish seniors from the class of 2015 that I’ve been photographing lately! Keneta’s a tomboy who admits she’s only worn makeup a couple times, but Tasha of K Roney Hair Salon in Scottsboro made her look and feel like a million bucks! Tomboy or not, Keneta showed up with bags full of beautiful clothes, shoes and accessories for me to choose from. She also chose a gown from my KC Photography style closet and I couldn’t get over how amazing she looked in it! She totally rocked her glamorous side, until our last shots when she threw her hair into a side pony and donned her basketball jersey.

Some of my favorite shots are of Keneta in her gown posing in the garden area her mom suggested we shoot at. There was a beautiful pavilion, little white bridge and canopy of trees that we used to our full advantage there. And as always, I’m a huge fan of our more urban settings! I was so excited to find this black spiral staircase that totally went with the vintage vibe Keneta had going on with that particular outfit, which included the black pillbox hat they had picked up earlier at Patches, a local consignment shop.

Keneta was so genuine and sweet, and truly made me remember why I love my job so much. I don’t just take pictures of my seniors– I want to give them a full experience, where they can be pampered and feel like a celebrity for a day. From hair and makeup, to wearing fancy dresses, to posing like a supermodel, I want my seniors to realize how amazing, special and gorgeous they all are.
