Willa Mae >> Newborn

Any newborn photographer will tell you if you want the best shots, you should schedule newborn photos within the first two weeks after birth. This is because babies tend to sleep more and be more content at that time, so you can pretty much pose them however your heart desires. Willa Mae was 11 days old when she had her session, but she was unbelievably alert and so strong! Through two feedings AND a diaper change, she refused to sleep almost the entire time, and was not hesitant to push away or lift her head if she didn’t like the position we had her in. Luckily, she didn’t get too upset with all the posing and moving around, so we were able to get some great shots of those big, beautiful eyes wide open. I especially love the photos of her with her big brother! Sibling shots can be a challenge, but they were both troopers about the whole process 🙂 This dark haired little doll is one of my 1st Year Plan babies, so stay tuned to see how she grows and changes throughout this next year!
