Sometimes your average, everyday senior shoot turns into an unexpected adventure, and the day of Michaelea’s senior portraits became just that! We had just finished up shooting and were heading back to our cars when disaster struck. This disaster was one that has happened to me numerous times on shoots, and I was equally mortified every time. Michaelea had accidentally locked her keys in her car, and her mom was 45 minutes away with the spare. So we hopped in my car, drove a little ways out from our remote location so we could get cell signal, called up her mom, drove into the nearest town to meet her, grabbed Jack’s because we were both STARVING, and spent a good hour or so talking about music, school, life and everything in between. Needless to say, this was far from a routine photo shoot. But it was actually really fun to get to have a little mini-bonding session with a client while killing time eating chicken fingers in a parking lot– not something everybody can say about their photographer! 😉
