Rachael + Scottie >> Married

These days, being married for 15 years seems almost like a miraculous feat. It’s also sort of miraculous from a photographer’s standpoint, to never have professional pictures made in all that time! So I was truly excited when Rachael contacted me about doing a shoot for her and her husband Scottie, who have been together for 20 years and married for fifteen! (and seemingly haven’t aged at all, btw) We decided to have their session at their home, and any time you shoot at a client’s house, you never know what you’re getting into. But I hit the jackpot at beautiful little Slayback farm– complete with a pond, Rock City billboard, and dog house (maybe dog mansion is more appropriate) that was just perfect for Rachael and Scottie’s five pups. These two look amazing in all their photos, but I absolutely love the candids of the two of them fishing and playing with the dogs! Can you believe we got all five to stay semi-still for one photo?!
