I first met Jessi when we were competing in DeKalb County’s Junior Miss pageant together. We instantly bonded over our love of 80s Westerns after she wore a Tombstone t-shirt to practice one day. From there, I learned that this girl is my pop culture soul mate! From movies to music and everything in between, she and I are pretty much walking encyclopedias. When we started talking about doing a styled shoot together, movies just seemed like the right way to go. And when we decided to go with Dazed and Confused, a personal favorite for both of us, I knew magic was about to happen. It was a great excuse to dig out some classics from my record collection, and Jessi’s wardrobe was spot on with the late 70s vibe we were going for. Dealing with rain, a lighter that wouldn’t light, and a shot headlight, was all worth it for these super cool images!
