It seems like I talk as much about music here as I do about photography! But seriously…I love it! When I first met Courtney on the day of her shoot, we immediately hit it off talking about music– shows we’ve been to, bands we love, rockstar style we admire. So any time Courtney got uncomfortable in front of the camera, I encouraged her to think “What would Lzzy Hale do? How would she pose?” And judging by the way she looks in these photos, she totally knocked it out of the park. Her outfits were ah-ma-zing, and she just had that LOOK. Ya know…THE LOOK. haha… This shoot was especially challenging, and my first session to be shot entirely indoors! While we were inside shooting, it rained. It also sleeted. And it snowed. Alot. I planned to shoot inside until the weather cleared up, but we wound up staying there the whole time, apart for the 3 minutes we stepped outside and hugged the side of the building to get a few shots. But I love shoots that push me. I got to experiment with my reflector and my flash (which I hardly ever do) and in the long run, that’s going to be really beneficial to me! I’m so glad Courtney trusted me to totally change the direction of her shoot, because I’m loving the way it all turned out!
