Abby >> 2017 Fort Payne Senior

If you checked out Allie‘s session a few days ago, you probably remember me mentioning that she and her friend Abby booked their senior sessions together so they could have a few best friend portraits made. As promised, here’s the second half of that dynamic duo– stunning Abby! Abby requested a natural look for her hair and makeup, and I love the simple but elegant way that Kendall styled her hair. Hair and makeup is included in all my KC Photography Senior Experience sessions because I want my clients to feel like supermodels for just one day. Sometimes that means full glam with lashes and a bold lip, and sometimes that means just perfecting a natural look. Whatever look my seniors want, my hair and makeup stylist Kendall does an amazing job giving them just that!

When Abby put on this golden romper for her second look, my jaw dropped. ALL I could see was Belle from Beauty and the Beast! That color with her long, dark hair and her sweet, petite features gave me total Disney princess vibes. If you know me at all, you know that Disney is one of my most favorite things, so anytime a senior or their style reminds me of that, I get a little excited! Even if you aren’t a Disney fan, you have to love how this outfit looked against the fall foliage we had that day.

Abby also brought her volleyball uniform, and we got a few shots in it before moving on to her next look. I always like when my seniors have at least one really simple but stylish outfit, like Abby’s burgundy sweater, cuffed jeans and booties. Y’all know I love a ballgown as much as the next Southern belle, but I also love how my clients can just shine in outfits that don’t distract.

For Abby’s final outfit, she implemented one of my favorite tips– throw on some accessories and totally change your look! We started in the bamboo with a slate grey top that looked so great with Abby’s skin and hair. When we moved away to our next shooting spot, Abby threw on a plaid blanket scarf that really pulled in the fall colors in the background. It was a quick, easy change but it gives so much more variety to her images! Even better? Those are the same jeans and booties that she wore with the burgundy sweater! There’s no need for lengthy, complicated outfit changes when just a couple subtle things can make a totally different look.

Abby came to see me again last week for some updated spring portraits, and I love how they turned out! It’s always fun to see how my seniors have changed from fall to spring, and it’s usually way more than you would expect! Abby looked beautiful, as always, and her coral lace dress was perfect against all the freshly bloomed greenery. So glad I got this girl back in front of my camera again!
