Haylee >> 2017 Fort Payne Senior

Since I’m playing catch up in the middle of winter on these blog posts, I am loving the color from this fall senior session! Haylee picked a beautiful location for her senior portraits and we had lots of variety for different places to shoot. Haylee’s session was my first since I purchased my new camera, so I was definitely on a learning curve, but loved the images we were coming up with that day! Haylee’s shoot was a family affair, with her mom and aunt coming along to help. Aunt Kaysie (who you may remember from her beautiful bridals) acted as stylist and made sure that Haylee looked picture perfect for all of her shots. I’m so bad about not noticing little details like a hair out of place or a crooked necklace, then spending far too long trying to fix them in Photoshop so I was glad to have someone there who was taking in every little thing!

Out of all her outfits, I really loved Haylee’s fuzzy vest and burgundy top with jeans. The colors were so perfect with that early fall foliage, and the outfit was so fun to play with because of all the pockets and zippers and layers. The light was absolutely amazing that afternoon, and we got some seriously angelic backlighting as we shot by the water.

For her final outfit, we busted out the bright red lipstick and black hat for a totally different look! I love when my seniors bring outfits that can be easily switched up, like how Haylee opted to use the hat, scarf and jewelry to get more mileage out of one outfit. It’s so much easier than changing your entire look, but it adds variety to your images in literally seconds. And can we just take a second to appreciate how red lipstick can instantly boost any girl’s confidence? Haylee has the cutest smile but it really sparkled once she was sporting that cheer-competition red! 😉
